For me, this was one of the most solid RiffTrax ever.  I can't remember a time I laughed so hard and consistently.  Perhaps it was the fact that we had to stop half-way through.  I used to have the belief that the guys would always run outta steam towards the end, but now I really believe I run outta steam.

I've come to the same conclusion. I've found that I usually enjoy the last half of the trax more when I break them up over two or three nights. Especially the really long ones. And I quite enjoyed the X2 riff as well.

I too greatly enjoyed this one because, though I am a fan of the X films, I recognize that they are extremely cheesy and full of cliches that make them ripe for the riffing.
I too have found it useful to break these up, if not over a few nights, but to take short breaks in the middle. The signal is when I'm no longer laughing very hard, I'm starting to "get used to it." The great thing about MST was that it was broken up for you, and it was only, what, 70-75 minutes movie.
I can't help loving:
"I'm in"
"She's good"
"you have no idea"
"wow--a superhero cliche hat trick!!"

I know I am pretty behind on this one, but we just watched it last night.

Didn't love it. I gave it a 6.

It has quite a few really solid laugh-out-louds, and yet way to many misses.

I would have to say that the "I like turtles" line might be my all-time favourite riff. I also liked the one about General Ratner, and a few other really solid lines.

I agree with the earlier comments that there were too many fart jokes. I love how you can stick it to "According to Jim" and other such mediocre sitcoms and then do jokes of that caliber.

But what I found really pretty baffling were the gay jokes.

Well, I say jokes but more often that not it was just pointing out that Ian McKellen is gay. (The singing "gay, gay, gay ,gay" etc when you first see him for example.) That's not a joke.

It really came off as high school bullying more than anything else.

all I have to say is you're in the wrong place if you get offended by gay jokes

I'm not offended by gay jokes, my point was that they really weren't jokes, they were just saying that the dude on screen was gay.

Is it wrong of me to find the jokes funny anyways?

Well I think they are, but then again I laugh heartily at everything and anything Bill Corbett says. I can see his point, though, that it's not technically a "joke" in the academic sense.
