I just finished watching Pezdrake's "Atomic Treatment: It Can't Last." As is expected of Atomic Treatment the riffing of this WWII era short was great. His performance and audio is getting better and as always the writing is top notch. It takes a few minutes to really get going but once he hits his stride it's very clever and funny. And yes, the short itself is terrible but at least it's better than Pearl Harbor.

iJust finished:
MicroRiffs Unwanted Affection - Buy this. I don't want so say anything else. Funnier than me funnier than just about any iRIff I have seen yet. Nice camaraderie.
Mr B Natural's Cosmos: War of the Planets. Another good one from Mr B. His jokes are funny but sparse. Maybe we can fix that though... Planning on watching his Atomic Rulers of the World when I get a chance.

Thank you pezdrake. Joke density is a hot issue amongst iriffers. With "Cosmos" I might agree. While I was editing I was still coming up with jokes so you may have a point. Atomic Rulers is much better in this regard and it's pleasantly shorter as well. Today I watched Short Film Cynic's VOD for "It Pays to be Prepared for the Gold Rush." Once again my ownership of this VOD came as a complete surprise as I checked my files to discover it was waiting for me. I don't know why but again I thought, "What the Hell?" I watched it and liked it much more than "6th Chair." (I think I posted my review of 6th Chair in the thread about it) I actually laughed out loud several times and found the use of three different shorts smashed together more entertaining. There are still many bad jokes to sit through before you reach a funny or decent joke but this time around I found the experience more rewarding. Again, joke density is a hotly debated topic amongst iriffers and my philosophy is I would rather be known for doing a few good jokes then a whole bunch them, with only a few being any good at all. I'd say for the general iriff audience this one is worth the price. Enjoy. And thanks for the free VOD SFC. Keep at it.

I'm beginning to think I shouldn't review things anymore as my tastes are clearly very different from the rest of the community. I just finished watching OneWallCinema's iriff of "Enter the Lone Ranger" and of course there are a few good jokes but overall I didn't care for it. It got better after the second riffer joined. Before that it was just incessant babbling. But even afterwards there was a lot of just chatter and dully describing what was happening on screen. The funniest thing in it was actually in the film itself when the man fell off the cliff carrying a big rock. I chuckled a few times and enjoyed the feeling of camaraderie but I would rate the overall experience poorly and not worth the time or cash. I'm also not a fan of added sound effects but they didn't use them too much. Oddly enough I like the laughter shared amongst the riffers though. I tend to be a pretty harsh critic and looking over the comments I am alone in my opinion so maybe the problem is with me and not them. The sound quality was above average and the video quality was very good.

iJust finished watching Cinester Theater's ET. Hilarious! I love these guys. Great camaraderie between riffers and good delivery, as well as a good range of jokes. These guys are my favorite fan riffing group after Quiptracks.

Glad you liked it! Of the riffs we've done, "ET" is probably my second-favorite. We had a really good time writing and recording on that one. Anyway, we're happy to provide! And as always, please remember to rate and review!

And as always, please remember to rate and review! My favorite of yours is still Back To The Future. That one is pretty high on our list, too. The hidden backstory to "Back to the Future" was that Keith and I basically riffed that movie live for a group of our friends one night when we caught it on a movie-channel. It was the sort of deal where nothing else was on, so we all figured we'd watch about 40 minutes of it then click over to something else. Of course, Keith and I are pretty much incapable of watching anything without riffing it, so we started giving it an MST3K treatment much to our friends' amusement- and before we knew it, we'd watched the whole damn thing. We definitely tried to recapture a lot of the jokes we used that night (off the top of my head, I know that "the letter Y!", "that's where I'll send you", and basically all of the evil Doc jokes all came from that night), and I think overall we managed to capture the spirit pretty well. So I guess you could say that "Back to the Future" was sort of our first iRiff, even though we riffed it about five months before Rifftrax started accepting iRiffs and didn't release it until after finishing two others.

I just finished watching It's-Better-Than-CSPAN-Production's "Living And Working Spaces: Hygiene During Battle" short. I usually have trouble getting into solo riffs, but this one does a good job with it. The voicework is varied enough that it doesn't sound monotone (something that some solo riffs suffer from), and the jokes usually are coming quick enough to keep a good momentum going all the way through. There are a few parts where it drags, partially because some of the jokes just didn't do it for me... but on the other hand, there were at least two laugh-out-loud moments and more than a few yuks to be had, which isn't a bad ratio for a 20 minute short. By the way, for the price, you certainly get a lot of riff, so it's definitely worth the money.
All in all, my main complaint is only having one riffer and the problems that stem from that. For people who don't mind solo-riffs (and even for people who do), this is one worth checking out.

iJust finished watching Mr.B.Natural's Atomic Rulers of the World iRiff.
There were some well written riffs in this stinker of a movie. (It really was like a rip off of Prince of Space wasn't it?) Timing-wise, good job as well. Delivery-wise, not really my cup of tea, but I think we can all agree that everyone has different senses of humor. (We tend to be more rapid fire and sarcastic in my neck of the woods which doesn't really translate well in other areas of the US.)
My main complaint was a noticeable hissing noise from the riffers mic that started just before each line and ended just after which was quite distracting. Not sure if this is just a result of it being an initial attempt at riffing which is solved in later riffs. I know we had some audio issues with our first as well.
Anyways, don't get me wrong, it wasn't awful. Feel free to check out his samples and see what you think.

The crazy thing is that there are two more Star Man movies out there! I guess it started as one long TV miniseries that was later broken up into three movies. All very similar, all very bad. Personally, I think this is my second best iriff. With "THEM!" being #1. Yeah, the audio bugged me a bit too but I felt like it calmed down as it went along and I didn't feel like it took anything way from the experience. I figured I was the only one who would notice or care. It was mostly due to the fact it was a first attempt. Though I think "Cat Women of the Moon" probably has the worst audio. Anyway, sorry for that. I have been working harder and I think if you try "THEM!" you will agree I've gotten better. I would say my style is derived from MST3K and it closely resembles that. That's what I like and I've always just assumed it's what others would like since MST3K is what started all this in the first place. But I've been watching MKB for more than half my life and while I've had many comedy influences theirs has been the strongest and has remained a constant in my life. It sounds like our tastes are simply too different to be reconciled. Which is too bad but what are ya gonna do? Humor is subjective and I just happen to be funnier. THEM! has more jokes per minute then Atomic but it is still a gentle riff. I'm not really into attacking movies so much as I try to make an already enjoyable experience even more enjoyable. I'm a little harder on "Cosmos: War of the Planets" but it probably has the least jokes per minute. I do have samples available but they are awkward and out of context. I currently have someone working on "clip-show" style previews (like the official one for Twilight) that I think will be a vast improvement. I do have a short clip-show style preview of Cosmos available. Atomic Rulers is one of the most commented on iriffs in history so be sure to check there before making a decision whether or not to buy. Don't just go by the sample. It's good stuff, I promise. Well thank you for watching and rating/commenting. Sorry it's doesn't completely jive with you but I appreciate your honesty and the fact that you gave it a fair chance.

Holy crap! Really? It sounds like our tastes are simply too different to be reconciled. Which is too bad but what are ya gonna do? Humor is subjective and I just happen to be funnier. I'd say you could be our riffing arch-nemesis, but I think Isaac already has that role locked up pretty securely after going bonkers on our product page and the MST forums.

Yep. I even looked at one of them after I finished Atomic but found it to be too similar. You can probably find at least one of them at Archive.org. I doubt I have the energy necessary to be anyone's arch-nemesis. It's funny how I've heard so much about this Isaac fellow but seen so little of his actual hoof prints. And from what I've gathered here at the forums and judging from your ratings people prefer your style and love your Lone Ranger iriff so I would loose anyway. I'm sure we will have no trouble mutually existing here at Rifftrax but if I do go full villain one day I think I'm going with old school Baltar. Shiny helmets, crazy speeches, and an army of robots. Yeah...sweet.
