Was the nullifier joke a reference to Josh Kirby Time Warrior?
The ultimate nullifier was a reference to Reed Richards' weapon in the Fantastic Four comics... but sure, it could be Time Warrior too.  Wink  We're going to start on "Godzilla vs. Mothra" as soon as Jordan gets back from being out of the country.

The original, or one of the 2nd or 3rd gen Godzilla/Mothra movies? The Godzilla films of the 90's really need to be riffed Smiley

Watched Cat Women of the Moon from Mr.B.Natural a couple of days ago.  Very funny VOD, gotta love those.  Only criticism would be that there are a few times when the movie is so slow that the jokes slow down a bit but good overall.  Maybe going back one more time for another joke writing round or a riffing partner would help.  Quality of the recording and movie was pretty darn good.  I will probably check out his next offering.  The movie is prefect for riffing and a good choice.

There are more!?!?   Gouge!

It's the 1964 version.  We've already previewed it (and my poster for it is almost finished), but now I fear the confusion.

When Jordan gets back, I'm going to see if he's open to the idea of opening a poll for a Godzilla movie.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_featuring_Godzilla

The 1992 version is called 'Godzilla vs Mothra', while the 1964 one is either 'Mothra vs Godzilla' or 'Godzilla vs The Thing'. The 90's films are more worthy of scorn, to be honest, as they were throwing everything in there to try and reach a broad audience. The 1964 movie is actually good Smiley The 90's films also are only available in badly dubbed versions, while the originals and 2000's movies have the original Japanese audio as an extra.

(a fun fact is the US Godzilla film did better in Japan then any of the Japanese Godzilla films ever did, despite "real" fans hating it)

Thank you for the comment here and on my product page.  Though according to my ratings you didn't rate it?  That was the riff I did in 8 days and yes it's probably my weakest.  Not just for writing but for the audio and video as well.  The video was a real pain because supposedly some parts of the movie were in NTSC while some were in PAL.  Weird, I know.  As for the audio, I tried an enhancer that I know regret.  I still feel that "Atomic Rulers" is my best but "THEM!" is certainly worth the $2.15.  Course "THEM!" isn't a VOD.  So far it seems that if someone tries my work they enjoy it.  The trick is getting them to try it.  Everyone really should check them out: http://www.rifftrax.com/iriffs/Mr.B.Natural/user

While I'm here I should mention that I watched pezdrake's "Atomic Treatment: Gateways to the Mind" iriff the other day and it was pretty good.  I gave it a weak 5 out 5 and found it enjoyable overall.  I especially liked the short that was included.  When he's good he's really good.  I really liked the "Columbo" reference and windows vista joke for example. (not many people my age appreciate a good Peter Falk joke)  If I had to criticize I would say that the audio levels could have been louder and your performance could use a little more...authority?  Is that a good word for it?  I'd say I have the same problem as well to be honest.  But I'd say it's worth the 2 bucks: http://www.rifftrax.com/iriffs/atomic-treatment/atomic-treatment-gateways-mind-w-short-fitting-faces  Get to watching people!

Last night I watched tygerbug's "Yor: The Hunter from the Future" and I'm afraid I didn't care for it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.  The movie itself is great but the rifftrax...not so much.  My tastes seem to differ from most people here and terms like "Good" or "Bad" are highly subjective so I will simply say that our senses of humor are not in sync.  Judging from the comments on his product page not many feel the way I do which is great, more power to him and I'm glad those people were entertained.  I didn't pay for it so I will not harm his ratings or comment on his product page but I felt compelled to give my "Yay or Nay" here.  It's a Nay by the way.  Sure, some of the jokes are funny but when you are constantly babbling on and on you can't help but be funny a few times.  I would say it is approximately 10% funny.  Having a couple of partners may have helped.  There's something about just one guy trying to do the same amount of jokes that five people might do that's just annoying to me.  And when only one out of every ten jokes is mildly amusing...well, it's just that much more annoying.  There is great potential, just a lot of self-editing needed.

However, I do commend him for offering a free version via torrent.  I was very glad I hadn't paid for it.  However he really should have made a VOD available for the torrent as I had a hell of a time keeping the damn thing in sync.  To me that would be the whole point of a torrent.  Making available a VOD for a film you can't legally sell a VOD for here.  I've been seriously considering making a torrent for a VOD version of my iriff for "THEM!" since almost no one is buying anyway and I think I made a newbie mistake when I riffed the ripped version and not the DVD version.  So when people go to watch it they won't be able to keep in sync very well.  Any thoughts?

This was just my opinion.  Most people would say I don’t make enough jokes and I feel tygerbug makes too many.  It’s just a difference in tastes, nothing to get defensive about.  Oh, and one final thought, on his product page he does not have a mature content warning despite the use of some pretty colorful language.

Depends what you mean by "ripped." If you ripped it to a compressed video file like mpg or something, then yes, that would affect the playback rate. If you ripped to IFO / VOB (which your media player will read as if it's playing a DVD), then it would not change the playback rate, and is in fact recommended because there's no chance of skipping. If you weren't the one doing the ripping then it's almost certainly a compressed format.

It was a compressed video file.  Oh dear...

Odd, I thought I rated (stars) it but maybe it was just feedback.  All the more reason we need some way of tracking who we've left feedback for I guess.

Yes, I guess my delivery is pretty mild.  I think InsertCoins said I have a Joel Hodgson type delivery which is funny because he was always my least favorite MST3K riffer (delivery-wise) but I can see the similarity.

Well I have four ratings for Cat-Women.  Which I've had for a long time.  You would have made it five which would likely put it on the iriff Top50 list.  I know it can't be mistaken due to the fact that you were granted the file as I was able to rate yours.  I was the first in fact.

You do have a Joel delivery but you know who you really sound like?  The character Jason from the animated show "Home Movies."  If you can check it out on Adult Swim you will see what I mean.  Not all of the time of course but there were moments when I was like, wow this guy really sounds like that kid from Home Movies!  Joel had is own mild, laid-back style but he still owned his performance.  He had his own presence.  To me you sound like a guy who is trying to get in a few zingers amongst friends in the back of a theater as opposed to performing for an audience or perhaps for a room full of friends you feel really comfortable with.  Confidence, authority, stage presence, that's all you need.  This isn't meant as some kind of harsh criticism mind you, just a tip or opinion from a fellow performer.  You could change nothing and be just fine.  I'm just trying to help you become truly great.  You're writing is pretty solid so you have the important part down.  Oh, and Josh Weinstein (the original Tom Servo) was the worst performer.  Not Joel.

Wow, that is a really good call.  I can't believe I missed that, in fact.

And as Jason is voiced by the great H. Jon Benjamin, that's a pretty good place to be.

Sounds like you'd benefit from having a riffing partner, someone that compliments that laid-back style.

Keith and I just finished Hor-RIFF-ic Productions' "Tremors"! Anyone who loves this movie needs to see this riff. Very strong all the way through, dozens of laugh-out-loud moments to be had. As usual, excellent sound quality as well... a little buzzing during some of the bloopers, but that's what bloopers are for. The Michael J. Fox joke at the beginning was side-splitting, but I think using the sync voice as another riffer gets distracting when it comes to sync-lines. Keith disagrees with me on this one, so that's another to-each-his-own kind of thing.

Anyway, definitely recommended! We're hoping to check out "Lost in Space" next!
