I need the dos command prompts for Fate of Atlantis so I can load the damn game and play on Dosbox. I have the first one, Fate. Thats all I have, I need the second one. Thanks computer nerds.

If I recall...
cd\atlantis (Obviously, from the directory you have your DOSBox games linked to.)
Then type atlantis. That should be it. If you're running the CD one, you may have to set all the different sound options for MIDI and speech (I don't have the CD version, but I assume it's like the prompts for Day of the Tentacle). DOSBox initially sets General MIDI to either 330 or 300, and Soundblaster to Port 220, IRQ 7, DMA 1 or 0.
And just for the record, I have no clue what any of the numbers actually mean. I just had many, many, many years of trying to get games to work properly on a 486 and 200 Mhz Pentium, with very little success, and I just had to memorize this crap to get it working.

I have it installed already. but in order to start the game again if I have quit for some reson I need the commands to start the game again. I have the first command:
CD Fate then it goes to C:\FATE_
I need to know what goes next to start the game

Won't it give you a list of all the files if you type "dir/p" and then when you find the name of the executable file type "run filename.exe"

All right, so it must be the cd version...my old floppy version used "Atlantis" for directory and executable.
You shouldn't need to type "run" with the file...it should work if you simply type the name. What shows up when you type "dir /p"?

Agreed. Runs classic LucasArts games (and even the occasional Sierra game) much more smoothly and easily than DosBox.

That's right, man it's been a long time.

Yeah, its the cd. It runs just fine in Dosbox, I just need the commands to start the game in dos.

Well, there may be two ways to do it...
1. Go to the C:\Fate directory and type fate, or atlantis. If it installed anything other than a few files, then that's where the executable would be. But, if there's nothing there, then...
2. There's also a chance that the Fate directory is just there for save games, in which case, the executable is located in the CD drive. In that case, go to your CD-Rom directory (probably D:) and type atlantis or fate. This is more likely, since Day of the Tentacle did something similar...it made a directory on the hard drive that was simply to hold save games and audio settings, but you still ran the game from an executable on the CD. If just typing atlantis or fate doesn't work, just go into the CD in Windows and poke around for an .exe file (it's faster than using DOSBox). It might be located in a folder on the CD instead of just on the surface, but it should be obviously labeled.
