Ok so it is has been a while since I posted, but I am here on the site (both forum and the main page) almost daily and saw the iRiffs. As a long time MST3K fan, I can say this is a great opportunity for us lowly mortals to get a taste of greatness.
I am looking for collaborators that live in the Northern New Jersey area (I am located in Morris Plains). I have always wanted to do something like this and I frequently riff movies I am watching at home (which my friends and family hate!), this would be the next step. I tend to work better with other people to bounce ideas off of, rather than working alone, hence the post.
For the specifics....
My name is Kevin, 25 years old from Jersey. I work in payroll, sports fan, music fan, film fan. Top three films are Citizen Kane, Fight Club, Dr. Strangelove in that order. I am a writer along with my cousin Tommy who is my partner in Project Illusion (
www.projectillusion.com although we are redesigning the website we are working on a few comic book/graphic novels at the moment and will have artwork posted by the end of October). And lastly, to profess my geekdom, I do have a G.I. Joe tattoo on my left arm. It is of the Arashikage Clan symbol, in black, however mine is taken from the original I Ching and is really more of a tribute to my youth spent with my cousin Jimmy, who is like an older brother to me.
Setup:
My brother is an audio "freak" and he has a Pro Tools setup and he helped me out with both a mobile and stationary podcasting studio (at the moment, there is a hole in the ceiling so the room is a little taken apart right now, but it can be setup again). Home theater setup in the living room, complete with 5.1 surround system with 42 inch plasma HDTV. And lastly, here is my current DVD collection:
