Persona 4. Time on the clock: 72 hours. I played for the normal ending, then tackled the extra dungeon for the "true" ending. It's a pretty great game, and though it has some UI quirks, and sometimes the cultural difference between the east and west are particularly noticeable, it's a J-RPG that feels very different from Square Enix's other stuff.

Just beat Quantum of Solace. I really enjoyed it, it's nothing groundbreaking, and there's a bit too many QTE's for my taste, but overall it was a blast to play through. Most of it is "hide behind cover and pick off dudes one by one", but it never really got old for me. There are a few moments of total chaos, where everything is blowing up and guys are everywhere, and it's total chaos, which was fun. Also, the online matches are fun too, even though everyone else is better than me (in my first match, I had 2 kills, but died over 20 times )

Finished up a pair of games over the past few days.
Crackdown I started this one up about a year ago, got halfway through it and then got distracted by something else. But last week, after hearing people making a lot of references to it in another forum, I decided to play it a tad more. I'd left off in the middle of the Volk, wrapped that up and then dealt with EvilCo. Overall, I enjoyed it. I still felt like my character was too much of an eggshell to be a super soldier. (For example, my character in Saint's Row seems to absorb a heck of a lot more machine gun fire than my Agent does.) And there needed to be a few more save points, because fighting your way into a heavily guarded area, dying and then having to run back from halfway across town wasn't a lot of fun. (And I'd like the ability to start a new game as well.) But pretty fun, nonetheless.
Oh, and that "Kills for skills, agent" narrator? Kind of a douche.
And for one that I didn't enjoy as much: Mirror's Edge EA's highly stylish free running game. There were parts of this game that I enjoyed a lot. Once you got into a rythym of running and jumping past various obstacles, it was kinda fun. But every feew minutes, I'd get jarred out of that rythm by either: a) The ever popular mob o' cops who if you met more than one of at a time, it's "back to loading screen" time.
or
b) A particular jumping puzzle which I could just not get past. Run, jump, miss, reload. Repeat. Over and over. And at multiple points in the game.
And the combination of the two drove me absolutely nuts. It’s a short game, but I estimate that I spent about 4 hours of it just doing a handful of particular scenes. I spent 90 minutes yesterday on one particular jump in the Atrium, and I was just about ready to toss my controller through the TV, especially after somehow getting past it, dying on the next jump and getting a reload to back before the problem jump. Grrr… It’s design decisions like this that drive me absolutely ballistic.
Plus (and related to the above) the fact that there was often only one route through an area drove me nuts. Take the above: You’re in a multi-story mall/office tower that’s under construction and you need to get to the top. Well, there should be a lot of junk and scaffolding and the like around there, right? Yep. And that provides a multitude of ways to the top, some harder or faster than others? Nope. One route. You’re on rails, which is decisively not fun when playing “Guess how the designers wanted you to get past this obstacle.”
But other than that, Ms. Lincoln, how was the play? The parts were I could run and jump, those were fun. But they didn’t last long. After a few minutes of fun, the game would toss in a sniper, or pursuit cops, or SWAT guys or just a lousy jump and it’s back to frustration-ville. Which is sad, as the game looks lovely and the soundtrack is quite good. But when I got to the end, I was glad for it to be over.
On the bright side though, it got me over the 20,000 Nerd point mark, so woot!

I've just been revisiting Crackdown as well. I'd completed it when I first got it, but I think I might try and get a few more achievements on it.
I did just beat TMNT, which as you all probably know, is not exactly a challenge. Some of the platforming is fluid and neat, and the graphics are okay, but the fighting is utterly one-note, and a little frustrating when the camera zooms in on your character so much that you can't see the bad guys outside of a 2 metre radius. Still, got the 1000 on it!
I bought the Ultimate Burnout Pack bundled with Trivial Pursuit on ebay the other day, so I hope I'll be working on those in the coming weeks.

Yeah, I rented it a while back, but with all the DLC they've brought out for it, I thought I might pick it up and see how that stuff works out.

I've heard Paradise doesn't have Crash mode. (Which is the only mode I ever play.) Is that true?

Half true. There is still a crash mode, but it's terrible. You can start it anywhere on the map, but your car literally bounces like 20 feet in the air whenever you hit something. Just beat BioShock on hard.
