*places forearm over eyes* Tripe, I still haven't read them! (I've gotten completely immersed into the 9-volume Preacher run at the moment) Isn't Book #28 coming out this Wednesday, too? Hey check this out, 2 weeks ago while I was at my comic book shop, I saw and picked this up for the cover: Book 3 of "Smile Time" Adorable. I'll be getting to 26, 27, and 28 before its conclusion in October. (most definitely haven't forgotten about it)

*still temporarily staying away from spoilers* I did pick up #28 this afternoon. I'll be reading #26/27/28 this weekend and sharing my thoughts on everything early next week.

So I finished 28
So of the two, who's dying this season?!!!! Holy balls, was this amazing, and to think we have 2 more issues w/ this said arc. Where to even begin w/ Retreat? I'm going to pick up #29 this week but saving it for while I'm having lunch at the Chicago Diner next week. The war's coming, and it's going to rule!

Yeah and er Bay, you're a bleeding werewolf married to another werewolf, why would you think a spell was just metaphorical?

...hahahaha. And why was Bay even in the fight in the first place? She should've been far away w/ Kelden. It was nice to see that Monroe didn't die two books ago, too (more werewolf action!). There was a lot to love...the torpedo bit was simply great, and the Buffy/Giles exchanges mimicked the dynamic I've grown to love between the two for which has been lost for some time. That was so nice to see. I like how Twilight received one-of-the-two covers for this book, but didn't make an appearance in it at all. Furthermore, I must touch on this, the meta-perspective on the transition from fantasy to real-world violence, this is difficult, and as much as I'm looking forward to seeing just who Twilight really is, the human causalities from both sides of this war is gonna be steep. It's definitely new terrain Joss & Co. are treading into. I wish them the best...

Plus I love my long predicted couple, I might be alone in this but their scenes together are adorable, it's nice to see them making each other happy.

I agree w/ you on how nice it's seeing them making each other happy, but what's going through the mind of Buffy? Those two frames, the first w/ the couple hugging w/ Buffy in the background standing alone, and the latter w/ the close-up of her left eye. I don't know what she's thinking, but I do know she looks adorable in that helmet! I'd also like to add the exchange between Xander & Buffy regarding Xander joking in the face of death, and Buffy not being amused. So good. It's gonna be a long month's wait.

Nice lampshading of the "First can't be living people" trouble with Warren.

That use of lampshading should quell the gaffe Jane created earlier on in this arc. However, she still should've known better w/ this fanbase's rabid attention to detail. So what are the chances of Twilight revealing himself to Buffy w/ its back to the reader in #30? That and I really want to see Twilight take out the goddesses in order to show Buffy what she's truly up against, possibly the biggest bad of them all to date (we're getting a Season 9). Less than 2 weeks until the last book of the year...

So I was wrong about next month's break as I just learned there will be a Willow-centric book dropping (which predates the events of Retreat). That can't bode well for Willow in the final chapter of the aforementioned arc, right? I'm almost dreading to learn what happens in this final book of a truly remarkable arc...

Making a grocery shopping list at the mo, but I'll probably pick up the latest issue (and any tenth doctor books that are new) either this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
