Anyone else think Vertigo is the happening thing?
Y the last Man DMZ Loveless 100 Bullets Fables
IMHO, Vertigo is putting out the best comic titles. I love adult-themed, creator-owned comics. No cheesy tie-in or gimmicky crossovers.

What about Top Cow and Image? Gen 13 was all right but I loves me some Sara and Lara action.

i read some of the sandman, swamp thing, then hellblazer, i actually have like 100 issues straight of hellblazer, but as soon as they started to switch writers left and right, it wasnt the same after the "hard time" story so i stopped collecting it afterwards. preacher on the other hand, i collected from the first issue until the last issue, its an amazing book and read, i heard they making an HBO series based on the book, now thats blasphemy

I think Vertigo is DC's solution to gaining bigger readership from non-superhero comic book fans.
I have trouble staying with the issues though - miss one, then two, then wait for the trade to come out....

Same here. Vertigo seems almost designed for TPBs though.

Isn't the current run of American Splendor at Vertigo?

Yeah, and I believe they're reprinting the old material too.
Frankly, I'm a big fan of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol, though at times it's hard to understand. Particularly Vol. 3. At the end I was like "what the Hell just happened". Luckily four and five were relatively easy to follow (though I have no idea that the Telephone Avatar was supposed to do).

Great series, for sure. I found its irreverence so contagious, and man, Custer's grandmother scared the bejeezus out-of-me in Book 2! And Jesus knows how to throw a happening party!!
I own the entire series, and it's right up there w/ Pilgrim and Runaways as my favorites. Preacher is rock 'n' roll.
Oh god, the amount of giggling upon discovering Allfather D'Aronique was bulimic.... *facepalm*

Until the End of the World is probably my favorite book of the series, RAD!
